Finally my turn to share my birth story!! :)Went in for routine doctors appointment on Thursday 2/11 at 2:20pm i had some high blood pressure only because I was in a hurry but they told me to go to labor and delivery anyways to be on the safe side. Blood pressure was normal but since I had a couple High ones before hand they were gonna induce me (due date was the 12th). Started me on cytotec right away and did a membrane sweep. I was already at a 2 so they thought the cytotec was gonna do it for me. They checked me the next day and still at a 2 so after finishing the full doses they switched me to pitocin which really started my contractions more! At like 12 or 1am on 2/13 I couldn't take the contractions anymore so I got some pain meds (couldn't remember the name). They made me so dizzy, then as that wore off at like 4.5 cm I opted for the epidural. Lemme tell ya it was god sent until it didn't work anymore 🙃 I was constantly having problems with it not working on my left side. Finally got to a 5cm at 8am and then 7cm at like 12pm and finally at a 9.5cm at like 9pm. Epidural completely wore off on my stomach, back, and Vagina so I felt EVERYTHING. I had major pressure and I told my Husband to get the nurse.. she checked me and said OK time to push! Pushed for an hour in so much pain lemme tell ya, epidural did not work at all and finally he had arrived. 10:15pm 2/13 9lbs 2ounces. Second degree tear (local pain meds didn't work I felt all stitches too) and all worth it!! :)
