Currently 1 week and 1 day postpartum. I have three kids, all born vaginally so there was no c-section involved. As you can imagine, my body has been through it 🥴

Anyway, with this last pregnancy, it seems like my bellybutton was pushed out from the time I started showing (around 28 weeks or so) and it stayed pushed out up until 2 days postpartum.

Well today after doing some of my kids laundry (I overdid it and bled a bit more than I usually have been), I was just messing with my stomach and noticed that my bellybutton hurts when I press it. I don’t know if it’s just a normal postpartum thing or if it’s a hernia. It’s sunk back in and doesn’t stick out (like I see on google when looking up postpartum hernias) but I’m wondering if it’s something I should mention at my 2 week postpartum appointment.

I never really paid attention to my stomach with my last two kids so I really don’t know if it’s just part of healing or what.

Anyone have anything similar going on? Nothing sticks out either if I push my stomach out so 🤷🏻‍♀️

Postpartum is strange. This is by far my easiest recovery physically. I bounced back fairly quickly, I’d say about 2 days postpartum I was close to my pre-pregnancy body image. I’m not mad at how I look either 🥲

However, mentally and emotionally, it’s a lot harder on me and I’m taking Zoloft and Vistaril this time around. I did drink last night and I know you shouldn’t combine those drugs with alcohol so I skipped my meds and today has been hell mentally.

My son, luckily, has been a darling thing today. I got a lot of snuggles and of course he just had to give us the finger😂🙄
