Did pediatrition tell you to use fluoride toothpaste for baby?

We use a filtered water system (I don’t trust our tap though ped reassures me). She told me to buy fluoride toothpaste for my 9m old but it worries me.

i don’t trust either. i’ve had the ped tell me to use fluoride and also another not to use fluoride. who knows nowadays. trust your gut

I'm a dental assistant and we ask people not to use fluoride toothpaste on babies, toddlers until they can spit. If they swallow too much for a period of time it can hurt the enamel and leave white lines on their teeth. Idk if other places recommends differently but in quebec anyways this is what they recommend.

We use a special baby toothpaste with less fluoride in it so it’s no issue if it’s swallowed

Pediatrician and pediatric dentist both recommended fluoride toothpaste for our toddler. No more than the size of a grain of rice
I wouldn’t use it for a baby though, that seems a bit young

Our pediatrician told us to start at 18 months. She said to only use a small amount (size of a grain of rice). We use a toddler toothpaste but it does have it in there. I always brush with the toothpaste and then brush again with just plain water
