Birth control help

Hey everyone! So I’ve taken birth control pills years ago but I kind of forgot about the side effects. I started taking them again since Sunday at 9:00pm and I was supposed to get my period today but it hasn’t arrived. Is it normal because the pills? & will it cause me to miss a period?
