Induced labor?

Is anyone doing anything to avoid having to be induced?? If so what do you guys recommend??

No one HAS to be induced. Unless it’s medically necessary of course. Babes will come when they’re ready. If that’s after 40 weeks than so be it for me. I’m willing to wait til babe is ready. Until then I’ll keep active and just live life normally. All the wives tales on inducing labor are circumstantial anyway. Patience is more important at this stage in the game lol

I won’t be induced unless I’m close the the 42 week mark or have a complication that pops up.
But I am trying all the natural methods that have research that backs them up.
I highly recommend googling “evidence based birth natural induction” A nurse practitioner with a research PHD walks through all the research on each “wives tale” or alternative method. 
Quick summary 
Research supports with studies: 
- acupuncture is effective before 40 weeks but not proven effective if started after 40
- eating dates 
- nipple stimulation 
Research supports but only with theory 
- sex (orgasm and semen on cervix)
Research does not support but no harm in: 
- red raspberry leaf tea
- pineapple

aside from medication, there’s not much scientific evidence of natural ways to induce labor, just a lot of rumors and old wives tales. Personally I’m trying drinking raspberry leaf tea (3-4 cups daily), eating pineapple daily (though I’ve only been eating one serving), and staying semi-active even though I’m exhausted by the time I get home. We’ll see, I’m 37 weeks but I really don’t want to go over 40 and I definitely don’t want to be induced!

I am waiting to hear back and get the ultrasound done to measure baby and see what her weight is, and from there they would advise me if I will need to be induced or not but I’m really hoping I don’t have to get induced. I want to have this baby as natural as possible! 🤞🏽

My 1st pregnancy I didn’t have no choice but get induced cause of preeclampsia and high bp. All I could do during that time was to keep myself active til it was the day I have him
