We did shots on a Friday and he ran a temp through the whole weekend. Never over 100 though. We just kept diligent with the Tylenol and Motrin. Same thing happened with his 4 month shots so we anticipated it. Just lots of extra cuddles and some extra comfort nurses and he was ok.

Thanks everyone. We did Tylenol twice yesterday to bring it down, but it kept coming up. Highest was 100.8 and that was at bedtime, but Tylenol brought it down again and she seemed cool overnight. Very fussy night though. 😩 This morning no fever yet. Hopefully it won’t come back.

How high is the fever? I’d still call your Ped but mild fevers are normal, it’s the body’s response to building immunity. I think for my office they say call if it’s over 100.4.

We haven’t gotten the 6 month shots yet...had to reschedule his appointment bc my little guy got a fever all on his own the day we were supposed to go in 😞 but after his 4 month ones it took closer to a day and a half for the fever to totally go away. Tylenol would bring it down for a while, but it would come back. He had gotten them around noon, his fever came that night and lasted the whole next day. But by the time he woke up the day after that, it was gone.

My son gets his on Friday but I remember my daughter had a fever and was cranky. The on call nurse told me to alternate Tylenol and Motrin. She seemed better the next day.

Give Tylenol and call the pediatrician and/or pediatrician on call if it’s over 100.3, I believe.
