Trying to feel greatful...BUT

While I know times are difficult now due to COVID *insert eye roll*; many folks just don't feel comfortable meeting in groups for a baby shower. My mother had a drive thru baby shower for me a few weeks ago where both sides were invited (my husband's and mine) out of 64 people that were invited 20-25 people came. Okay, here is where I'm conflicted...

Obviously this is our first child. I have done hours of research on useful vs not useful baby items. I spent days making our registry adding and subtracting items etc.

Well 5 people bought off the registry and the rest gave us things we either don't need or didn't ask for because we won't use them. NOTHING came with 'gift receipts' so I can't return anything. Maybe its the hormones, but how can I feel better about this?
