I posted here about my grandma who was sick around Christmas and in the hospital and then went to rehab/ assisted living. After a lot of back and forth my mom decided to bring her home Tuesday. Well she started having a swollen leg over the weekend and 2 swollen legs by Tuesday. She went to the doctor today and they sent her right to the ER and she’s being admitted now with congestive heart failure and another infection. Everyone felt so hopeful when she returned home after so long and now she’s back in the hospital. If she beats the infection she will need rehab AGAIN for who knows how long and then who knows if she will be recovered enough to come home again. It’s just so sad. Getting old is better than the alternative but watching my grandma go through this makes me dread aging. My husband and I were going to bring her homemade chicken parm this weekend because she loves my husbands cooking but that’s not happening anymore. Just so so sad right now.
