Hi everyone!!

I had my 8 week scan yesterday! I thought I was 8w5d but baby measured 8w1d. I have a new dr with this one my second pregnancy and she's keeping my due date October 2nd since it's only off by 4 day's. Question though has anyone else's dr said that they wait until the second trimester to listen to baby's heartbeat on an ultrasound machine?? She's a fairly new dr and she said there is not enough study to back up whether or not the sound waves can harm a baby when they are this small. I'm fine with it she's super sweet and nice and seems to really care about me and my baby. Baby is doing well had a nice strong heartbeat and was moving a bit. I was just curious if anyone has had a dr say the same thing? The pic I got is not the greatest but I'll share anyways!
