Change in period all together!?!?

Basically in May my period has changed from being medium- heavy flow for about 6-7 days to now it's only a light- if even medium flow now only for 3 days. What is the deal? I have taken multiple pregnancy tests all negative.. What do you guys think? I also did change birth control (pill form) back in Jan I believe but then my period didn't change..
