with all the braxton hicks i’ve been getting lately i’m worried i won’t know when the real thing is happening. was it obvious when it started for you guys?

Yes you know. With my first one I had contractions for 2 days but was super calm and stayed at home. On the second day things changed and I knew I had to go to the hospital. It’s like an inner voice and you don’t question it twice...you just know. 🤷🏻‍♀️ hard to describe😅

Oh you’ll know! Maybe not for the first few hours - but then it will get stronger and closer together and start to hurt a lot more

I had a ton of BH with my second. The second labor hit I knew it - I had horrendous breath taking contractions

Very obvious. Labor contractions feel totally different. Braxton Hicks only made my belly tighten up but labor contractions were like a whole body thing. My back would tighten up too and I could feel the pressure deep in my pelvis.

Yes!! With my first, I was in prodromal labor for 2 weeks and every couple of days, i’d go in thinking this is it only to be sent back. When the real thing started, there was no mistaking it.

Yep! With my first i was gripping my husband’s shoulder in bed insisting it was just bad period cramp feelings that it’s prob not labor and he said “babe you never dig your nails into my shoulder when you have your period, this is labor” lol and he was totally right. Way diff than Braxton Hicks

It was very obvious the difference. I woke up and thought "I think im in labor" had her the next morning.
