Any overweight mamas getting ultrasounds?

Question

So I’m a bigger girl and I had a voluptuous belly before pregnancy (lol nice way of saying chubby 😁). From what I’ve been reading online, since I’m heavier, it can be hard for us to see the baby’s heartbeat at our first appointment. Any voluptuous ladies have any experience with that? 
It’s scheduled for 3/11, and I’ll be 7 weeks 4 days at that point.  I’m so excited, but also anxious, and I think it’ll make me feel a lot better if I can see (or hear) the baby’s heartbeat.  Thank you!
And yes, to all the concerned folks out there, I lost about 20 lbs before I got pregnant, and I’m already talking to my doctor about how to stay healthy/limit weight gain during pregnancy.

Thanks ladies! This is making me feel so much better. So many of the websites I’m reading about overweight pregnancies were a little alarmist, so hearing from you all is really reassuring!

I’m 225 and 5’7”. They did the vaginal ultrasound and no issues. Did have to press down on my pelvis to see ovaries but that’s it. She did abdominal to try to see the ovaries and we could see the baby easily. I didn’t have any issues with my first baby either and I was about 10 pounds heavier than I am now. Don’t worry!

I didnt have a problem with my first child. I went in at 7w3d and was able to do an abdominal with no issues. Could see the heart beat and everything. I was about 225 at the time. If they aren't able to do the abdominal, its not because of weight. Sometimes its just position and size. They can always do a transvaginal so

I am overweight, and had a transvaginal ultrasound a couple weeks ago at 4+6.  They were able to see the amniotic sac just fine, but she did have to press on my stomach a little bit in order to see my ovarys.  I go back Tuesday for another scan since it was to early to see a heartbeat yet.

You’ll probably get a transvaginal ultrasound! They don’t really do abdominal ultrasounds until 9-10 weeks I tuink
