I did Taking Cara Babies newborn course which gave us a great sleep foundation and she’s able to put herself to sleep awake for naps and bedtime. We never recovered from the 4 month regression because we got sloppy and kept rushing in her room so she wouldn’t wake our toddler. The last couple weeks (6.5 months) we’ve been doing a modified Ferber sleep training and we got rid of the paci for nighttime sleep (every time it fell out she woke up and it became a sleep prop). Because she had the foundation of going down awake already it hasn’t been as bad as I thought it would be. Each day your supposed to increase the time before you go to them but I modified it and we kept it at 3 minutes for awhile. Then we did 3/5/7. And now I wait 5 minutes but the last several days I haven’t had to go in at all because she falls asleep or back to sleep before the 5 minutes. She still feeds twice a night, but we’re working on slowly weaning one feed then we will wean the dream feed.Highly suggest researching all methods to find one that suits you best. And knowing you can modify them some too to fit your needs better. It also helps to pinpoint your problems before starting.
