Am I being over cautious?

My little girl was born in December and is 2 months old today, she's not met any of our family or friends as we don't want to risk her getting covid-19 and becoming ill😔 we live in the UK which cases are still really high in but a few family members have made comments, am I being to overly cautious?

At the end of the day, you’re responsible for her health and safety, no one else. So whatever decision feels right to you is the one you have to make, and other people’s opinions don’t matter. If I had an infant, I’d be taking every single precaution, staying home and isolating from people outside my household. My kids are 9 and 11, and we are staying home and have been pretty consistently since last March. They’re my responsibility, and I’ll do what I think is safest. Period.

No. You are right. Keep her safe. They are selfish wanting to risk your lives for some newborn snuggles.
My daughter has hardly seen our family, and only socially distant outside visits. And thank goodness I stuck to my guns. My MIL. got it a week after Christmas. My SIL is a COVID nurse and had it in January and my grandmother had it in the first wave. We would have gotten it a few times had we ignored social distancing rules.

My daughter is 2 months & hasn’t met anyone either. My mom & sister have made really really nasty comments, but I stand my ground. They never had a baby during a pandemic before so how could they know what it’s like

No because its the rules 🤷🏼‍♀️ lockdown means they actually can't meet family yet 🤷🏼‍♀️ my mum has held our new born but she is our support bubble. My inlaws have seen her through a window like maybe 4 times? Shes 7 weeks now 🤷🏼‍♀️ on March 29th she will meet family in gardens but still from a distance 🤷🏼‍♀️ we also have 2 other children, one in school.

My son is 4 months old and hasn't met anyone. I don't feel guilty protecting him or others who are vulnerable.
Covid19 won't go away until people abide by the rules. You are making the right choice for you and your baby

My little one is over a year old now and we still haven't made the out of state trip to meet the rest of my side of the family.

It’s completely up to you.
Our baby was born in December as well, we personally have met all of our circle of friends and family meet her.
I want her to get used to my family and my friends that will be around her the most.
I also want her to still get her healthy germs from others. 
This is sadly just kind of life now, covid isn’t going away anytime soon. So we are just trying to move forward with life. 
We can’t be locked away forever.

This is personally your decision. I am in the US and I know many adults who haven’t left the house. My husband and I work at a grocery distribution center. We never closed down for covid. We have only been busier since this thing started. The day that restaurants opened back up for dine in we took our 2 year old and went out to eat. We have visited family, but we have some family that does stay home. My husband and I both got covid at the end of November/beginning of December. My son has literally had a cold once and a fever once in his 2.5 year. But I am 24 weeks with twin. I am not sure how I will feel once they are here.

Am I being over cautious?
