4 wks ectopic pregnancy? Please help

So I had a previous appointment with my OBgyn for a general check up but got my bfp over the weekend. By my calculation I should only be 4wks and 1 day (I've been tracking ovulation) and so I called to see if I should just postpone. The Dr said no so I went in and the confirmed I was pregnant by urine test but they couldn't see a sac in my uterus using a transvagin us. However the Dr could see a cyst-like object or 2 on one of my ovaries that she was concerned could be an ectopic pregnancy. They drew blood to measure my progesterone and HcG levels and sent me for an emergency ultrasound scan across town. The emergency us was inconclusive - couldn't see a sac in my uterus and could see a cyst-like object on my right ovary that may or may not be an ectopic pregnancy. I have to go back in 2 days for more blood work and if my HcG levels have not risen as they should my Dr says that means I have an ectopic pregnancy and she will offer me an injection to "dissolve the pregnancy". I'm so sad and anxious. Surely at 4 wks we wouldn't expect to see anything right? And wouldn't the cyst just be the follicle? Please help.
