“If you lied about your age, you weren’t groomed”

I saw a tiktok with that title and no added explanation. I’m honestly shocked...

It was referring to the James Charles scandal (beauty guru who is 21). He messaged a guy on Instagram that he found cute and the guy in question lied about his age being 18 when he was actually 16. The child recorded the conversation with James with another phone and posted about being groomed.

I’m not sure how to feel about this....grooming and pedophilia are disgusting things and I wouldn’t want to victim blame.

What are your thoughts in general vs this situation?
