I feel like we’re missing A WHOLE LOTTA context here. What was the fight over? We’re you also name calling? Does he have a pattern of being verbally abusive. Do you have a pattern of being verbally abusive? 
It feels like you made this post with the intent of just getting validation that is in your benefit but not giving the whole story of what happened. 
By no means am I saying that what he said is okay or acceptable. But people, especially people you’ve spent 7 years with, don’t tend to blurt these things randomly.
