Has anyone in the US refinanced their student loans? If so do you have a recommendation for a company to use?

My husband refinanced his through Earnest. It seemed like an easy process from what I remember. He definitely got much better rates than he had!

Are they federal or private? If they are federal make sure you don’t change them to a private loan since you will lose any forgiveness that may come and have to start repaying instead of being in the no payment, 0 interest right now. I was looking into it but stopped once someone from my federal loan company told me that, so I confirmed with the place I was going to consolidate with. They didn’t want to be as forth coming with that info but finally confirmed it was right.

Yes! Citizens bank had the lowest rates when I refinanced

I consolidated mine through a local credit union. Credit unions are the way to go.
