My partner and I would like to buy a house

His credit is horrible at like 520, he has no bank account, never had a credit card, and is completely illiterate when it comes to things of this nature.

My credit is just as equally bad at 570.

I have a bank account, I have good credit history and I am making an active attempt to raise it even more.

I only have about 4k saved up.

We have been living in the same house for 4 years, paying 600 a month on rent.

In my opinion it would just be better to buy. Im tired of not being able to make changes to my house due to the fact that it is not mine.

Any tips? Any options available to people with a low credit score ?
