Is it true its good for us girl to pee after sex? I mean.. ive heard its good to "flush" fluids out? Is this true??.

Yes it is t o help prevent urinary tract infections. I used to get them often until I learned to pee after sex

I easily get uti's...so I drink cranberry pills everyday and go to the loo Immediatly after sex to flush out any bacteria. I try to wait a little longer now that we ttc but was told that it helps if you go to the loo after sex to prevent uti's:)

Pardon my ignorance, but even though I've always known you need to pee after sex to prevent a UTI, how does sex increase the risk of a UTI anyway? The urethra is so small and sexual activity is vaginal, not urethral. It seems to me that men would be at higher risk since their urethral opening is at a much more vulnerable position during sex. Just something that's always simmered at the back of my mind--haha
