So, I saw an article headline about a 12 year old getting into university (he's already been attending community college). This made me wonder though, what I would do as a parent if I were in a situation with such an intellectually gifted child.

Is it better to ensure they stay academically challenged in school (even if it means going to highschool under age 10) and just try to make sure they have an age appropriate social group outside of school?

Or is it better to send them to school with similarly aged peers and supplement their academic interests/abilities outside of school?

Also, do you think people judge the parents as super pushy when they choose academics over staying with similarly aged peers?
