When does the 2nd trimester begin?

Logged into Glow today to read about my baby at 12+1 and it said I'm in my 2nd trimester. I always thought it started on week 13. I also read somewhere yesterday that it begins in week 14. So, which is it?

I was told 13w3d is the start of the 2nd trimester

On the bottom it says that the first trimester ends at 13w3d... And the second trimester at 26w6d.

Pregnancy is 40 weeks, divided into 3 trimesters. 40/3=13.3 :)

My Dr said 12 weeks because I have been on progesterone supplements since I was 4 weeks said thAt at the beginning of my 12 th week I could quit taking them since it's the start of my second trimester

I asked my doc last week and she said week 13

I believe it depends on a few things. My doctor says at 12 weeks because she goes by the developmental trimesters. Then 13 or 14 depends how you look at splitting up the trimesters evenly because it's not exactly 13 or 14 weeks.
