My ex and I are going through a divorce. We had a joint account he closed it a few months ago. We have 2 children. We were suppose to file jointly agreed upon attorneys and now filed seperate by his decision last minute without agreement. So he just filed seperate and claimed one child. I dont have time to file until next week. How does the stimulus work now that our joint got closed from our lastnyear tax season. And now that he filed today. Does he get the money? Or does the check be based on last year and get sent to the house? Im confused. Judge also said I get both kids stimulus and mine. And he gets his own since he's been in rehab and I've taken care of kids for tbe past year without any child support from him. But who knows if ill see that money if it goes to him.
