About a week after the first date I met his whole family all at once. I thought it was kinda a weird gesture at first, but maybe it was a sign he was a family man and wanted to get married and have children with me? Turns out crazy MIL had forced him to arrange it because shes crazy. She spent the whole time talking about how her daughter (who was also present) was raped, how partner's father is a deadbeat and was abusive and how she disowned her son (my partner) when he was a teenager and just dropped him off with his Dad one day and left. But now she "loves him millions" and I've "changed" him for the better....... oookay. It was super awkward. Kinda annoyed Parnter ran off to play with Nephew and I was left at the table with the crazies.
