I recently just found out I have herpes and I'm so ashamed 😞😔 I made some mistakes in my past but I was also raped. So im not sure when I got it. Any other women on here have it? I've never had an outbreak and so im hoping it stays that way...

Ok herpes is THE most common STD. Like to the point that a lot of the people answering “no”, actually DO have it and don’t know it. The only way to know if you have it is a blood test and it’s not included in a typical STD work up, so so many people don’t know they have it unless they have breakouts and get tested specifically for it. And a lot of people DONT have breakouts. Do NOT be ashamed.

Which kind of herpes are you talking about. Like 90% of the population has HSV1 (cold sores). Genitals herpes (HSV2) is less common

Just saying cold sores and herpes are the same thing , if you get those ugly blister on your lips that’s where you get em . Also , you can get that type of herpes you could have got it from sharing a drink with a someone with that type of out break. They call it’s (type a ) (type b ) it’s allll the same thing . It’s just where YOU get the out break

Over half the population has herpes. I've had it my whole life and it started showing when I was in third grade and now into my adulthood it doesn't show as much but still annoying. I have not spread it to my husband and if I did it hasn't shown and he isn't worried either unless it was genital herpes, that ish supposedly sucks a billion times more than any other kind

cold sores are a form of herpes, and in which like a ridiculous amount of people have, but if you're speaking of the other type, im not entirely sure how common it actually is. I got cold sores from my aunt kissing me as a baby
