NIPT 90% any hope?

My NIPT is 90% for Down syndrome. Feeling very worried. Any stories about false positives? I’m not very hopeful.

I personally would not worry if my child has Down syndrome. Having worked with those who have Down syndrome, they are the sweetest, kindest people ever.

The test measures risk, it’s not a diagnosis. Did you have your NT scan? Maybe have some additional testing done. Try not to worry until you know something for sure.

Thanks. The NT was also 3.6 when it should be 3 so that’s another sign. All the signs are pointing to it but I don’t want to believe it. I’m just so worried about how I can handle the medical issues. And how people will treat her. So terribly worried.

I'm.sorry to hear. I've never heard of false positive but it could be possible. Sorry hun. Remeber is a percentage not a guarantee.
