Stimulus Check- Someone please tell them they know 😩

So I got my 1st Stimulus Check, BUT my SO ripped it in half when I deposited it online (Which I told him NOT to do until it gets accepted) and low and behold, it got rejected 😩 so that’s why I needed a new one.

And I filed the sheet the IRS has on their site but it’s been 3 months so I called a month ago and they said to just file it in my taxes to have it reissued. And I just tried to do my taxes and the guy said No, he needs a form from the IRS saying I can have it reissued.

The guy doing my taxes was being super blunt and rude, so is he wrong and should I file somewhere else or do I need to yell at IRS for giving me half answers....(totally kidding in the yelling, I’m just so stressed with what to do)
