I'm a week late....But welcome Sienna Rose!
The journey to my baby girls arrival started Monday 11/22/15. And after about 40 hours of hard labor my princess arrived on 11/25/15 at 455pm.

I went in planning on an all natural birth. And from how everything started, it seemed as if that would happen. But then everything kind of went downhill from there. My blood pressure was through the roof, I contracted a very very high fever and my heart rate sky rocketed to match my daughters. And then contractions became unbearable.
My water had not broken at this point. But a few hours later I felt a pop. So I got up and my waters broke. We were all so excited. Until we saw that baby has defecated and it came out with the waters.
The morning of 11/25/15 they gave me 2 options. Either get an epidural or have a c section. The way my health was declining they didn't feel it was safe continuing an in medicated labor. I felt so defeated. But chose the epidural. It worked for a few hours. But as they kept increasing my dose of Pitocin it seems like the epidural was wearing down. They tried to give me more. But nothing worked. So I was in the worst pain of my life. But baby was well.
At around 330 that afternoon the midwife said the baby is doing well and not in distress as of now. But she is still too high. I was completely dilated and effaced at this point. So she said that we need to start pushing. But if that doesn't work then an emergency c section has to be done.
I literally had nothing left in me. I could barely keep my eyes open and when I could they were rolling into the back of my head.
But somehow, some way I found it in me to push for an hour. If it was not for my good friend, both of my doulas and the AMAZING staff at the hospital. Idk what would have happened. The safely delivered my beautiful daughter and I am forever grateful 💜
