Do we need alcohol at our wedding?

I know it's proper etiquette to server alcohol to your guests at reception but we both don't drink and don't want to go through the trouble of finding a licensed bartender. There will be around 50 people (family and close friends) and most of them with kids. Just wondering everyone's opinions. If you had a dry wedding, how did that go? Tia.
