Ages 1-3 how much screen time do you allow?

Pre-Covid...maybe an hour or two. But now that all we do is stay home....there’s been days when it’s been WAY beyond that. You gotta do what you gotta do to get through!

It’s just so difficult with COVID. Before we could take the kids to the park and put them in sports. Now that’s all gone but of course children still need to be entertained. I try to make sure everything they watch is educational as well as fun. You just do what you gotta do in the middle of a pandemic

My son is just over a year and a half. I won’t give him a cell phone or tablet, but our TV is on pretty much all day (whenever we’re home). Sometimes it’s educational and sometimes it’s just a Disney movie. I would say he probably pays attention to it for a total of 1.5-2 hours if we are home a lot. 
But it’s finally getting warm enough where I live we can go outside and play versus being inside!!

My 3 year old watches blippi and other videos on YouTube. She knows her colors and is learning to read and write from her older siblings because she sits in on their zooms for school 😂

I try not to give my toddler any screen time I do give him screen time maybe once a week or so and only for like 30 min to an hour but mainly try to play with him and read him books to help him learn new things it’s definitely easier to just give him screen time that way he stays quiet and I have more time for my new baby but at the same time I’m so used to not allowing screen time and actually spending time with him that it stopped being such a hard thing to do lol if that makes any sence

We don’t do tablet or phone screen time unless we’re going to be in the car a long time or I need her to stay awake in the car. I let her keep her tv shows or movies on about 2-4 hours a day. She’s usually playing too and that’s when I’ll let her have it on longer, if she’s just sitting watching it I am more likely to turn it off after a while. But of course some days it’s on longer and some days it’s on not at all. But that’s our usual and what I try to stick to. She’s 3.5. Before covid we were on the go a lot and tv time was less

My little girl just turned 2, she watches PBS and I only let her play educational apps on her iPad. I don't really set a limit since she drifts from her playroom to the living room. She plays with toys or her sister for an hour then goes and watches Daniel Tiger for example. Then goes back to the toys or I take her outside to play.

Or a few shorter episodes of something. So still in the 90ish minute bracket. Some days its more if I'm trying to clean a lot and she is being clingy

Totally depends on the day. Most times just a few hours but other days there are times we don’t really turn the tv off. 
I try to make sure the shows are educational with the occasional movie that isn’t. So we typically watch bubble guppies, blues clues and you, cocomelon, and Mickey Mouse club house. 
Cocomelon it depends on what we’re watching how educational it is but overall my daughter will sing with it occasionally and has learned like colors and counting along with it.
