Has anyone experienced this? (Irregular cycle & earlier in pregnancy than thought)

So my estimated due date by last period put me at 9 weeks. When I went in for my ultrasound they said I was only 6 weeks. Has anyone else experienced this? They seemed concerned at first, but my cycles have been irregular for some time and I just happened to take a pregnancy test about 3 weeks ago because my boobs were sore. Still really bummed I’m so much further back than expected!

Yes! I ovulated cd 46 the cycle I got pregnant, so based on my lmp I should’ve been 13+ weeks when I knew I was only 8.5 based on my tracking and I was spot on. Currently 38w6d with a healthy girl!

Yes - for both my pregnancies! My first baby my cycles were ALL over the place, like 63 days, 37, then 48, then 56 - you get the idea lol. We had been trying for 3+ years actively and off BC for 5 years. 
I hit cycle day 64 and had never been that long between so I tested and it was blazing positive. Based on my wonky LMP I should have been 12 weeks by the time of my first scan and they dated me 7ish weeks. My son is a super healthy, almost 3 year old now. 
For my current pregnancy, my cycles were much more regular (I thank a significant weight loss for that) but my cycle is still usually 30/32 days. I was texting with OPKS and I was still off a week for LMP. I thought I was 11w3d and measured exactly one week behind at 10w3 days. I had an ultrasound at 7w3 to confirm. All is well so far and I’m currently 25w4.
Try not to panic, LMP is just a ball park based on a 28 day cycle and precise ovulation and implantation. Lots of factors can throw off the dates - that’s why they take your dating ultrasound as the winner for dating the pregnancy.

Yeah it’s very common because they automatically assume that all women are robots and we all ovulate exactly on cycle day 14. When they base your due date off of your LMP, they assume ovulation on cd14 no matter if your cycles are regular or irregular.
I’m measuring almost a week ahead of my LMP’s estimate because I ovulated early, around cd9. If you ovulated late, you’ll be measuring “behind” even though you’re actually not. If you know your ovulation date, that is a MUCH better indicator of how far along you are than LMP.
