Clearblue Ovulation test, how does it work?

Hi,

I’m so confuse how to use these ovulation tests. I am using the clear blue brand. I’ve been using it everyday for the past 10 days after my last period and I have yet to see a smiling face, it’s only an empty circle ⭕️???

My question is am I doing this wrong? The box says it take 40secs to 3 mins for the results to show, does the blank circle appear first and the smiley face appears later? Am I checking it too quickly?

I read was most women will see the smiley face around day 7, I’m just confused like how do I know when I’m ovulating?

Also, do you have sex the day you see the smiley face?
