Baby bedtime struggles
My son will be 7 months next week, and for the last 3 months or so bedtime has been a huge struggle. His first 4 months he slept so good, then he starting having a hard time sleeping, so we transitioned him from his bassinet to a pack n play in our room (the crib doesn’t fit in our room and his doctor wanted him in our room). He naps pretty well during the day, I don’t think he’s under or over tired, we have a pretty solid routine, he goes to bed around 7 every night and as soon as 630 rolls around he’s a mess, he’s super fussy, ready for bed, you can tell he’s tired. We give him a bottle and after we put him down he cries and wakes up consistently for the next 3-4 hours. He won’t let his dad put him to sleep so I’m getting up every 10 ish minutes to give him his pacifier and try to get him back to sleep. Sometimes he has a full blown meltdown and just screams uncontrollably. Then he’s consistently waking up every hour for the rest of the night, not to eat, just for his pacifier or he wants to play, he kicks his feet, talks to himself, rolls around. Its become almost impossible for us to sleep at night. We keep the room dark, we have a sound machine, nothing works and I don’t know what to do. How can I get him to sleep better?
