I was driving down the road and saw this huge ball of fur in the middle of the road twitching.

So I stopped. I can’t. Like I’m the type of person that will pick a dying cat up off the side of the road and take it to be euthanized. I’m not able to just drive by.

My dumbass hasn’t seen a beaver in so long my mind saw a CAT with DUCK feet and I was like on god WHAT IS THAT

He rolled over and revealed himself as mr. Beaves, the beaver.

So I call my mom because I don’t know shit about beavers. I’m also not a dumbass. You do not touch wild animals you know nothing about.

My mom is like “beavers are strong enough to snap your arm in half and he could just be in shock. Do not touch him. I’m coming.” So I’m literally in the middle of the road with my emergency blinkers on, blocking him so that nobody else would run him over again and kill him.

No wildlife centers we called were open so we were actually passed by a cop and he turned around and asked us what we were doing and we were like “the beaver. We don’t know what to do.” And the cop finally got ahold of some wildlife rescue and mr beaves is at the hospital now. His back legs are broken and he lost some teeth. That’s tough mf right there.

I just realized? This is the first time in my life that I ever saw a beaver in person. I didn’t even know that my area had beavers. This guy wasn’t even near a body of water at all, he was literally on the road outside of our air force base. This was in the city. I cannot believe it was a beaver. Well, now he’s where people who know about beavers and they will rehabilitate him and send him to a place he belongs.
