Are we allowed to ask them to replace the blinds?

We live in a pretty big apartment complex. It has like 7 or 8 buildings in it and we move in back in June. Can we ask them to replace our blinds that have fallen down or do we have to replace them ourselves? No one ever taught us, so no hate please. Just curious. 🥰

I believe if it's damaged from ur children or pets u may need to pay out of pocket to replace cuz in the past I was charged.

I would ask!  No harm in asking.  At my old place i had vertical blinds (oooof) upon moving in. I took them down immediately and put up curtains.  But the vertical blinds were brand new, no clue why they would put them in😅 So I knew it was on me. But they did store them for me, so that was nice haha.

If they just were old or crappy and fell then they should without issue. If you damaged them or a pet damaged them they will still replace them but will probably charge you so might be cheaper to do it yourself if you are allowed. Check your lease though...every place I have lived we had to have the same blinds on move out as when we moved in because every unit wad the same so we would have been charged for the blinds later anyways. But for me it has always been part of the move out checklist that looked out during final walk through.

You can ask them but they'll charge you. If they're the vertical blinds and are just broken at the top there are actually ways to fix them. When my husband and I lived in an apartment a bunch of our vertical blinds got broken at the top so we fixed them with toothpicks and hot glue and hung them right back up.

you usually have to replace them yourself. the complex might sell them cheaper than walmart does, we live on a military base and our dog ruined like every one of our blinds, the housing people sell them for like $5 a blind but it’s our responsibility to replace
