Is this an upper lip tie? Never noticed it before but my 2 yr old started complaining it hurts. She had trouble latching and refused breastfeeding as a baby. Any advice? If it is does she need surgery?

Sounds like it! Best to go doctor and see what they say, I don’t know if it’s the same as how the do it on newborns but I think they use a laser to cut it?

Yes.  It’ll affect her dental hygiene so if someone tells you to wait, I’d see someone different.  There is a tongue tie kids support group on fb that can help you with finding a dentist that knows what they’re doing

Check with a paediatric dentist. She may need it cut as it could cause a gap between her adult teeth when they come in.
