Brought a bunch but they don’t let you eat. Ordered hospital food when I was done.

They told me before hand I couldn't eat in case of emergency c-section, which I actually ended up having, so it worked out. The 12 hour fast before induction + 36 hours before the emergency c-section = 48 hours of no food! I was starving by the time I got out of recovery and was allowed to eat. 😂

They wouldn't let me eat anything besides ice chips until an hour or two after I had my daughter

I ordered hospital food before I started my Pitocin!
I had to have the strep b antibiotics first so the nurse said have at it and get some food!
But my husband brought jerky and nuts and energy drinks for himself 😂

I packed a box of Girl Scout cookies...and am likely going to pack some ginger ale because I’ve had GD and couldn’t have soda. But both are more for after baby than during labor. Going to have my husband pack himself snacks/cooler bag with food because the hospital said they don’t feed him until after baby comes either.

I brought nuts and protein type stuff but by the time I got to my room and got settled I wasn't hungry anymore. And then after a certain point they wouldn't let me eat even if I wanted to. So I had to wait until after delivery to order some hospital food

I was able to eat up until I had epidural! I brought trail mix, fruit, pita chips and hummus. Jolly rancher lollipops for when I needed an immediate easy energy source
