Second child birth stories?

Hello! I’m pregnant with my second baby. I was induced with my first and my labor was almost 24 hours, pushed for about an hour and tore. Recovery was kind of rough on my body. 
I’m extremely anxious about my second birth, I have a lot of irrational fears such as giving birth too quickly for medicines, (since you supposedly give birth faster the second time!)
I was wondering if some of y’all could share your second birth stories with me! I would love to hear the difference between the first and the second.

Probably won’t ease your fears but I missed the epidural lol. That was with both babies though. My second was 45 minutes faster. The biggest difference for me was the pain, the second time was so so so much more painful. I thought he was gonna break me in half. Not even while pushing, just the contractions, and especially after 7cm. But despite the crazy pain and tearing my recovery with #2 was a breeze. My recovery with #1 was very long and very painful, it made me question ever having another, but the second recovery was so easy.

My first labor started on Monday and she didn’t come out until Thursday. Totally sucked, baby was sunny-side up, tore badly, lost a ton of blood and I felt like a shell of a human. 
My second labor was textbook. Started at 7am with water breaking, progressed smoothly - had a chance to stop for bagels, have my aunt pick up our daughter before the contractions got intense - and gave birth at noon. No epidural needed. Recovery was a breeze, I was strolling along through the hospital the same day - with my first I was too weak to walk more than a few yards for days after. My second labor felt like a blessed healing gift - and was just good for my mind after the trauma of the first.

My first birth was horrible, back labor, three days ... my second was my dream birth with only four hours of labor. You got this. Second babies are way easier usually.

My oldest was born to quickly for pain relief, my labor was 2.5 hours start to finish. It was intense but it was nice to have feeling in my legs and be able to walk to my bed afterwards, not to mention it was over with so fast!! My second was different, I had to be induced and my labor that time was 5 hours and totally different. I had no tearing despite having a 9lb baby. I had the epidural that time and I wish that I wouldn't have! My labor still went pretty smooth and even though it was longer than my first it was still relatively short and I didn't need any assistance pushing him out😊 hope this calms your fears!

My first and second were very different! My first was rushed and a little chaotic because I didn’t know I was in actual labor until I got to the hospital at 7cm. I had been having regular Braxton Hicks contractions for months, so nothing felt different until I was in active labor. When I got to the hospital, they almost didn’t give me an epidural but I was passing out between contractions from the pain and losing energy so they eventually gave it. I was able to get some rest but pretty soon it was time to push. I tore in two places, she came out so fast. All of it was a blur. My second birth was great! This time I called my dr when my contractions were regular and I got to the hospital at 3 cm so I was immediately more relaxed knowing I wasn’t going to be in blur like my first. I walked, bounced on a ball and made it to 5 cm and got the epidural. I told my nurse and dr my first baby came out fast so they spread out my pushes just a little and my baby came out so smoothly. No tearing, no rushing, no panic. It was great. Having experience with my first really helped me to learn from my mistakes and it was overall so much better. I think the biggest difference was I communicated more with my nurse.  I’m now 31 weeks with my third hoping for a last smooth delivery. Now that you’ve had a baby I hope your second one is a better experience for you! Don’t be shy to your medical staff, they’re there to help you.

With my first I was induced and was in labor for 4 hours and 15 minutes (pushed for 45 mins)
With my second I showed up (to be induced again) at 7pm (75% effaced and not dilated). They tried inducing me with a pill (idk the name). Well it didn’t work. I was able to sleep with slight cramps. At 10 am the next day they inserted cervidil. At noon contractions started at 3 minutes apart and by 12:50pm I rolled over in bed and my babies head popped out. 4 pushes later my son was born (12:54pm). So labor was 54 minutes with 4 pushes 
So in my case the second time around is easier and quicker!!

For my second I felt like it was really fast like my first I was in labor for 24 hours as well and my second I went into er at 2pm and had her at 9:10pm
They say your second is always faster
