Gun regulation

How do you guys feel about gun regulations? When I say that I mean universal background checks on all gun transactions including private, universal mental health evaluation and anyone with a history of domestic violence should be automatically denied gun access. I think at least those things should be in place because 90% of mass shooters are legal gun owners and almost 60% have mental health issues. Also 53 women on average are shot and killed by their partner a month and domestic violence perpetrators are often repeat offenders. Please don’t say “what about cars and knives” when cars are regulated, for example, if you have certain health issues they take your license, bad driving record they take your license, and knives don’t kill as much people as guns or can kill so many at once. I don’t think sane and safe gun owners would be affected so i don’t see what’s so wrong with it but I’d love to hear the other side.
