Second trimester sickness?

Did this happen to anyone else? I went through my first trimester without throwing up. I had horrible nausea and other symptoms but I never threw up. Until today. I am 17 weeks 1 day today and I've noticed over the last 2 weeks, whenever I get hungry I also get nauseous. Well at work, there's about a 4 hour gap between start of shift and first break and I guess I got too hungry because as soon as I tried biting into a fig bar, I had to run to the restroom. It felt horrible. I haven't thrown up since I was 7, that was 18 years ago. Has anyone else had their morning sickness kick in during the second trimester and how long did it last?
