Tv obsessed

Anyone else’s kids completely obsessed with Tv? They can’t go a single day without watching it, not even when we go to their cousins house to play. Their cousins get so upset when they refuse to play with them anymore cus they just want to watch Tv. Usually I tell them “we came to play, not watch Tv. Go play.” but my SO lets them do whatever even after I tell them no. I’ve given up but my 4 year old nephew is distraught because the kids won’t play with him anymore and he’s not listening to either of his parents now. Should I just leave it be?
