How does life change from one kids to two kids?

WAY easier (for me) from 1 to 2. The hardest transition is 0 to 1!

In between? It wasn’t as bad as I thought but not just easy either. After baby was about 2 months old and really got into a little bit of a routine it got easier. Learning how to balance my time between both kids and my husband has been the most difficult part.

I found it very easy. My first was 21 months old when my second was born. Then my second was 21 months old when my third was born. I found that transition pretty easy as well. I didn't find that having more children was as difficult as some people tried to tell me it would be.

I have 4 and currently pregnant with number 5. The transition from 1 to 2 was the hardest for us for the first few weeks. Hard but not impossible. When it comes to adding a third or fourth child its easy after going from 1 to 2.

The first made it rough. Lol. Lots of reassuring and trying to make as much time as possible. She had me solo for 6 years and then there was a baby vying for my attention. It was hard for her mentally. Caring for two in general isn't too difficult.

My first was 9 so it was fairly easy. She was old enough to be independent and understanding that babies need more attention. But babies are a lot of work and it took us a while to get into a good routine. Then after I went back to work it was another big adjustment. New babies shake things up no matter what.

My older babe was 3.5 when we had our little and man oh man was she a terror for the first two months. It was all about attention which is completely understandable but she stopped listening and was yelling a lot. It was rough. I think the hardest part about having to adapt to two kids is when going out or trying to have a date with your partner. It’s easy for grandma to watch one kid but add another in the mix? It becomes challenging. If you need to go run errands, it’s taking two kids out. I will also say, i def feel like since the baby needs more attention and my four year old is so independent, I feel like she’s been on the back burner and it’s awful. Because she’s so independent and the baby is obviously not, I put more focus on the baby’s needs. But it gets easier.

It was pretty easy for me. I just explained to my oldest that once the baby was born, a lot of my time was going to be taken because he can’t do anything for himself and depends on me for everything. But my oldest was almost 10 years old when the baby was born so he understood more than what a toddler would.
