Vaginal pain during sex

Hello everybody! I need your help. I recently lost my virginity since getting married and I enjoy sex but my vagina can sometimes hurt during and after sex. My husband is trying to figure out ways to get me to not have some sort of pain but we haven’t figured anything out so far. We use a ton of lube, even if I’m already wet, and pace doesn’t change the level of pain by much. Before getting married I could barely fit a regular size tampon in there, and now I am dealing with something much bigger than that. ANY suggestions would be great! (Also I’m not pre-menopausal, as I am only 25 and still having my period.)
