Are you allowed to change your preemies diapers? And chose their clothing? I live in New York for reference.

We were allowed to change her diapers and outfits, take her temperature, feed her (nurse and bottle feed), and give her a bath while in the NICU.

We live in Texas, and we were always encouraged to do those things ourselves. It’s your baby, so make sure you are voicing your opinion about it, if they seem to be hesitant. Unless there’s a medical reason, you should always try to do most of the “touch time” yourself.

My baby just got out of the nicu and if the parents are there they encourage them to change the diapers and take the temps. We were also allowed to bring clothes for them. I’m assuming you are talking about nicus.
