Do cervical checks in birth hurt?

Are they uncomfortable? (Ie when they are checking how much your cervix opened)

I thought they hurt. But after my epidural I couldn’t feel them so I didn’t care lol

Cervical checks were more painful for me (depending on the dr or nurse that did them) than contractions and I’ve had 3 natural deliveries. I don’t let them check me though unless absolutely necessary because the checks don’t tell you much anyway

Thats the worst part of labor to me. Cervical checks have ALWAYS hurt so bad to me. Thats legit the only time I screamed during my labors.
