Constipation as a sign of ovulation?

I am a day before I am supposed to ovulate and I'm very constipated. Is this normal? HELP ME LADIES!

I used to feel constipated/wind pain but then I realised the pain was actually ovulation pain/mittelschmerz  as it wasn't relieved when I went to the toilet, and coincided with the day after my positive ovulation test.  So could be that?

I did some research on this myself. Constipation could be a change in hormones during ovulation, pregnancy, and if you are taking prenatal vitamins.
