Do you think having a child before marriage is a good idea?

I'm not trying to attack anyone who had kids before marriage and all. Plus i know it's like a thing already and is prevalent in our society now but I wanna seriously ask eve ladies if we personally prefer this or personally think it is a good idea? This is because I feel like in most religion marriage before babies is always taught. Same with basic family lessons to kids saying kids having a mother and father not single mom or mom and boyfriend.

A happy, harmonious couple is waaay stronger than a married, miserable duo. So no, I don’t think it matters one bit either way. Whichever arrangement is more suited for the family is what’s best for that family to thrive!

I honestly think it depends on the relationship. Bringing kids into a casual or toxic relationship isn't good (married or not). But bringing kids into a healthy, functional relationship is what matters when it comes to kids

My baby doesn’t have “single mother” or a “mother and boyfriend” she has a mother and a father who are not married. A father isn’t created by marriage any more than a mother is.
And not everybody follows a religion so it doesn’t matter even a little bit what religion teaches. 
My SO and I have been together 7 years, we are having a baby that we planned and that we love. We don’t want or need a piece of paper to say that we’re a valid family unit.

Can’t believe how many people voted no, just because you’re married doesn’t mean you’re going to be better parents or last longer together than a couple who aren’t.

I wish people would stop acting like marriage is forever. Divorce is a thing that exists. Many couples who’re married wwhen they had kids, have divorced and deal with this so 🤷🏼‍♀️ Plus not everyone wants to get married or is religious (shocking) What matters is a healthy relationship. Which marriage isn’t inherently.

A happy and healthy couple will always trump an unhappy marriage in my book! That being said when studying the statistics in school they do support the idea that the best time to bring children into the world is post marriage. But, that can depend on the couple and everyone should be free to live their own life

Every relationship is different. Some people like the concept of marriage, others don’t find any meaning in it. My partner and I don’t care about marriage. We’ve been together 12 happy years. We got married a couple years ago for cheaper insurance and that’s literally the only reason. We don’t even have rings. Our first child was born before we got married, our second was born after. There is absolutely zero difference in our relationship and our first baby born before marriage is not some evil demon born from sin or whatever.
If you want to get married first, go for it. If you don’t want to get married, don’t.

We had no intention of getting married. We were fine committing  to each other without having the state involved in our relationship. There is no reason that should preclude us from having a child.
