Covid Babies

Today we sat outside on our neighbours deck with our little guy for a visit. They have a six month old and a two year old. Our little guy, who at home is vocal, happy and meeting all of his milestones, didn’t really smile. He crawled around, was enjoying himself exploring and played with toys but didn’t really show any expression. He wasn’t clinching to my husband or me, but he just wasn’t smiling.

We live in Ontario, Canada (small town, not southern Ontario where cases have been super high) but we still have been taking precautions quite seriously as my husband works in healthcare. Our guy just hasn’t had that much experience socializing I guess.

It broke my heart. He is the sweetest and happiest little thing. It could just be his personality, more of an observer, but just not sure if it’s that or covid.

Anyone have similar experiences with their little one?
