Normal for 19 weeks?

Had a appt yesterday I am 19 weeks.. they got the Doppler as they normally do and usually they pick up a heartbeat really fast well two nurses couldn’t get it .. they both said we hear it but it’s just a lot of static so they sent me for a quick ultrasound.. saw heartbeat rig away and heard it at a 146 bpm.. has anybody gone through not hearing the heartbeat at 19 weeks through Doppler ? This hasn’t happened before so it has me on edge .

I had this happen a lot during my first pregnancy and it was simply because he was so so low down the entire pregnancy!! It was always so hard to get his heartbeat!!! He was either too low or moving too much!! He’s almost 2 now and he still is always moving!!

Yep. I was 17wks and she wouldn’t stay still so he had to do a quick ultrasound.

Yes definitely, it happens frequently. Baby might be in a position behind the placenta or tucked back so the heart rate can’t be found easily externally, don’t stress.

That's normal. Your baby is starting to get active now, and they have a LOT of room. They're going to be a little harder to track down. My daughter wanted nothing to do with the doppler and gave my OB/GYN hell every appt, the ultrasound tech was no exception either 😂
