What to expect after D&C?

Question

10 days post D&C (at 8 weeks for a Blighted Ovum) and still getting positive HCG pregnancy tests though they are gradually starting to lighten. The spotting finally stopped so I figured start also testing ovulation. Seems way too soon, why would a line show up on the ovulation test?
Secondary question- should I wait to try again until after next period?

I would wait until after your first period just because its easier to track and so forth 
Your hcg will slowly decrease it took me over 5 weeks to test negative and as soon as I did thats when I had my first period. 
Lh test usually show a surge when you have hcg in your system as well.

I don't know how long the hcg is likely to be positive, but LH is often positive when hcg is present.

Hcg stays in the system 1-2 months after surgery.  lH test is positive Bc the pregnancy test is positive

I had a miscarriage and D&C in February at 8 weeks as well, it took 3 weeks for my hcg to be negative and my doctor recommended waiting a cycle for everything to heal, so my first period took 5 weeks, was a little heavier than normal, and now I’m in my first TWW.
